Women's or men's styles: choosing the set
The preview asks you to choose women's or men's styles because each set has three looks built on different design habits. The women's set moves between straight and arched lines; the men's set keeps a straighter, heavier line with a shorter tail. Pick the set whose design rules you want to talk about. You can try both, and AI virtual brows are not a result either way.
Why the virtual eyebrow try on asks for men or women styles first
I'm Jisun, the owner of London Brow in Seoul. Right after you choose a photo in my brow preview, it asks one question: which styles would you like, women's or men's? Each choice opens a set of three. The women's styles are Natural Straight, Round Arch and Soft Arch. The men's styles are Men's Natural, Men's Soft and Men's Sharp. A virtual eyebrow try on with men and women styles in separate sets keeps the comparison focused: you are comparing three related looks, not six unrelated ones.
The question appears even if the page already showed a female or male example, because the photo you choose might not match the example. It might be your partner's photo, or you might simply want to see the other set. The tool does not guess from your face. You decide.
How the two sets differ in line and weight
The easiest way to see the difference is to look at the upper edge of the brow. In the women's set, the three styles move from a straight line to a rounder arch to a soft, gently lifted arch. The variation is mostly in where and how much the line rises. In the men's set, the upper line stays straighter across all three, and what changes is the weight and how defined the brow looks.
That follows the way I design men's brows. The rules I keep for men are these: a little thicker than a woman's brow, a shorter run from the arch to the tail, a straight upper line and a lower line with only a slight curve, a brow that gets about 1mm heavier toward the tail, and a colour lighter than the reference photo. The preview is not drawing to those rules exactly, but the men's set leans the same way, so it is a useful place to see that kind of brow on a face.
A two-minute test: try both sets on the same photo
If you are unsure, run the same photo through both sets. Look at one thing only: the tail. Women's styles tend to let the tail travel a little further and taper; men's styles stop it shorter and keep it fuller. Which tail looks like the end of your brow? That single observation tells you more than the label on the button.
Then compare the overall weight at the same intensity setting. Some women prefer the straighter, fuller feel of the men's set, and some men prefer the lighter women's Natural Straight. Neither is a mistake. People differ, and the set names describe design habits, not who is allowed to choose them. Note which set you stayed with and why, in a few words.
The set is not the menu
Choosing the men's set does not book you for Men's Brow, and choosing the women's set does not mean Natural Brow. The sets compare shapes and weight on a photo. My three menus, Natural Brow, Powder Soft Combo and Men's Brow, describe how the brow is made. Those are decided together after I look at your face shape, how your hairs grow and how much hair you have.
What the set choice does tell me is which design rules you want to talk about. If you send a men's card, I know to start from a straight line and a shorter tail. If you send a women's card and mention Soft Arch, I know where your eye went. That is a good start, and it is only a start.
How to mention the set in your message
Consultations at London Brow are translation-assisted over WhatsApp. One short line is enough: 'I tried the men's set and liked Men's Soft, but I am a woman and wonder if that is too heavy for me.' Or: 'I am a man and preferred Natural Straight from the women's set.' Saying which set you used and whether it matches you saves me a question and makes the card easier to read.
Before your consultation
- Try the same photo in both sets if you are unsure which one to use.
- Compare only the tail first: which ending looks like the end of your brow?
- Compare overall weight at the same intensity setting.
- In your message, say which set you used and whether it is the set you expected to choose.
Common questions
Can a woman choose the men's styles?
Yes. The sets describe design habits, not who may choose them. If the straighter, fuller line of the men's set feels right, tell me, and we will look at whether your brows support it.
Does choosing the men's set mean I am booking Men's Brow?
No. The preview compares virtual shapes. The menu is decided together in the consultation after looking at your real brows.
