Reading the three women's styles: Natural Straight, Round Arch, Soft Arch

Jisun Yoo, owner of London Brow · · Editorial principles

The three women's styles differ mainly in the upper line. Natural Straight keeps it level, Round Arch lifts it in a smooth curve, and Soft Arch rises to the clearest high point. On the same face, that changes how calm, warm or lifted the expression reads. Look at them side by side, name the one you kept returning to, and remember these are AI virtual brows, not a result.

Natural Straight, Round Arch, Soft Arch brows on one face

I'm Jisun, the owner of London Brow in Seoul. When you choose women's styles in my brow preview, you get three: Natural Straight, Round Arch and Soft Arch. Seeing natural straight, round arch and soft arch brows on one face is the real value of the comparison card, because your own features stay the same and only the brow changes. Anything you notice is about the line.

Before reading the three, look at your original photo in the card for a moment. Where does your brow rise now, if at all? Is your own line closer to straight or to an arch? Keep that in mind, because the most useful question later is not which style is prettiest but which one is closest to, or furthest from, the brow you already have.

Natural Straight: a level upper line

Natural Straight keeps the upper edge of the brow mostly level from the front toward the tail. On many faces that reads as calm and soft, and it is close to what people often call a Korean straight brow. To see it clearly, cover the lower half of the card with your finger and look only at the upper edges. The straight style will look like a gentle shelf rather than a hill.

If you liked it, ask yourself whether you liked the straightness or the softness. They are different requests. Straightness is about where the line goes; softness can come from a light intensity on any of the three styles. Write down which one you meant.

Round Arch: a smooth curve

Round Arch lifts the upper line in a smooth, rounded curve, without a sharp point. Compared with Natural Straight, it usually makes the eye area look a little more open and the expression a little warmer. Hold the card at arm's length and compare it with Natural Straight only. At a distance the difference in impression is easier to see than up close.

If your own brow already has a rounded rise, Round Arch may look the most familiar of the three. That familiarity is worth noticing. A style that looks like you on a better day is a very different request from a style that looks like someone else.

Soft Arch: the clearest high point

Soft Arch is the most defined of the three. The line rises to a clearer high point and then eases down toward the tail, still without a hard angle. On some faces that reads as more lifted or more polished. To see it, trace the upper line of each style on the card with a fingertip, slowly, and notice where your finger starts to go up and where it starts to come down.

People differ a lot in how these three look on them, and the same style can feel lifted on one face and sharp on another. That is why I read the card for your reaction, not for a verdict. The preview itself is clear on this: actual treatment results may differ.

Name the one you kept returning to

When you send the card, add one sentence in plain words: 'I kept going back to Round Arch, but I am not sure it suits my brow.' Consultations at London Brow are translation-assisted over WhatsApp, so the style name plus one reason is ideal. I compare that with your original photo, your face shape and how your hairs grow, and we decide the line together, starting from the brow you have.

Before your consultation

  • Look at your original photo first and note whether your own line is closer to straight or arched.
  • Cover the lower half of the card and compare only the upper edges of the three styles.
  • Trace each upper line with a fingertip to feel where it rises and where it eases down.
  • Decide whether you liked the shape of a style or only how soft it looked.

Common questions

Is Natural Straight the same as the Natural Brow menu?

No. Natural Straight is a shape in the preview. Natural Brow is a menu describing natural hair-stroke brows. A straight line can be made with any of the menus, and the menu is decided together.

Which of the three is the most natural?

Usually the one closest to your own brow. That differs from person to person, which is why I compare the card with your original photo rather than ranking the styles.
