The comparison card: original plus three looks

Jisun Yoo, owner of London Brow · · Editorial principles

The comparison card puts four images of the same face together: your original photo and the three virtual styles of the set you chose. Read it in one glance by looking at the original first, then at whichever style your eye goes to next. Save the card with the original included, because that is the brow I actually work with. AI virtual brows are not a result.

How the eyebrow comparison card is built

I'm Jisun, the owner of London Brow in Seoul. The last step of my brow preview makes a comparison card. It carries the title 'Which one looks better?', your original photo labelled Original, and the three virtual styles from the set you chose, either Natural Straight, Round Arch and Soft Arch, or Men's Natural, Men's Soft and Men's Sharp. At the bottom it says 'Virtual eyebrow try-on · Actual treatment results may differ'.

Under the card you can save the image or share it. Saving an eyebrow comparison card to share later is the most common use: people keep it, send it to a friend, or attach it to a message to me. Whatever you do with it, the card is built to be read as one picture, so it helps to know how to look at it.

Read it in one glance: original first

Open the card and look at the original first, deliberately, for two or three seconds. Then let your eyes move without steering them. The style your eye lands on next is usually the one that caught your attention, for good or bad. Notice which it was before you start comparing details.

This order matters. If you start with the styles, the original can look plain by comparison, and people sometimes conclude that their own brow is the problem. Starting with the original keeps it as the reference point. The question becomes 'what does each style change about my face?' rather than 'which face do I prefer?'

A pair test for the second look

After the first glance, compare in pairs rather than all four at once. Cover two images with your fingers and look at the original next to one style. Then swap. With only two images visible, small differences in line and weight become much easier to see, and you can say in words what changed: 'the tail looks longer', 'the front looks heavier', 'my face looks more awake'.

Write down one sentence per pair. Three sentences is enough. People differ in how much they see in a small image; if the differences look tiny on your phone, zoom in on the brow area only, and then zoom back out to check the overall impression again.

Keep the original visible when you save or share

If you crop the card to show only your favourite style, you lose the most useful part. Without the original, I cannot see how far the virtual look is from your real brow, and a friend cannot tell whether the style is an improvement or just different. Save and send the whole card.

The card also does not replace your own photos. When you send it to me, add a bare-brow photo taken straight on in daylight. The card shows a virtual comparison on one picture; the bare-brow photo shows the hairs, direction and density I read before I draw anything.

What to write next to the card

Consultations at London Brow are translation-assisted over WhatsApp. Next to the card, write two short lines: the style your eye went to first, and the one pair comparison that surprised you. For example: 'My eye went to Round Arch first. Next to the original, it made the tail look longer, which I liked.' That gives me your reaction and a reason, which is what I need to begin.

Before your consultation

  • Look at the original for two or three seconds before you look at any style.
  • Note which style your eye lands on next, before comparing details.
  • Compare the original with each style in pairs, covering the other two images.
  • Save and send the whole card, original included, with a bare-brow photo.

Common questions

Can I make a card with just one style?

The card is built with the original and all three styles together. That is deliberate: the comparison is what makes it useful, both for you and for me.

Does the card show what I will look like after the session?

No. It is an AI virtual try-on on one photo, and the card says actual results may differ. Use it to show your preference, not as a target.
